E-Bike Seized in Tadcaster |
||
|
Officers have today removed another illegal e-bike from the roads of Tadcaster as part of our ongoing efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour and improve safety within the community.
We are aware that the use of illegally modified e-bikes is a shared concern among local residents, and we want to reassure the public that we continue to take positive action to address these issues. We regularly patrol areas where concerns have been raised and will continue to identify and deal with those using illegal vehicles in our communities.
Illegal e-bikes ridden on public roads and highways pose a significant risk. Not only are they a danger to pedestrians and other road users, but they also put the rider themselves at serious risk of injury. Many of these bikes have been modified to operate beyond legal limits, making them unsuitable and unlawful for use on the highway.
Information from the community plays a vital role in helping us identify problem areas and take appropriate enforcement action.
We remain committed to reducing anti-social behaviour across Tadcaster and ensuring our roads, pathways and public spaces remain safe for everyone.
If you have concerns regarding anti-social behaviour or the use of illegal e-bikes in your area, please report them to North Yorkshire Police via our website or by calling 101. In an emergency, always call 999. | ||
